Slot Summary

Choose a stake between 0.2 and 30, then let the Wild meter determine when New Year Happiness changes character. RubyPlay's 50-line slot pairs a 96.46% RTP with medium volatility, but its identity comes from collecting gold coin Wilds for a Super Spin and opening a Wheel Bonus after 5 Wilds land on the same symbol. The New Year festival theme ties those mechanics to fortune and renewal rather than a generic coin game.

How It Plays

New Year Happiness uses a 5x3 layout with 50 paylines. Regular spins can add gold coin Wilds to the meter instead of treating each Wild as an isolated event.

The meter creates a delayed payoff cycle. A later Super Spin can release the stored Wilds, while landing one Wild over another adds a separate prize.

Theme & Atmosphere

The New Year and Festival setting draws on Asian symbols of good fortune, wealth, happiness, and longevity. RubyPlay also references the rotating animals of the Chinese zodiac.

Animals and Mythology support the celebratory framing, while the gold coin motif gives the collection system a clear thematic purpose rather than decorative symbolism alone.

Features & Win Potential

The Super Spin is the main link between ordinary spins and the Wild meter. Collected Wilds remain relevant until the feature places them back into play.

Random Wilds can increase reel coverage, while the Scatter Symbol and Wild Symbol provide the supporting structure around the two named bonus mechanics.

Bonus & Free Spins

The Bonus Wheel activates when 5 Wilds occupy the same symbol position. Its result guarantees a jackpot award, making symbol collection the route into the game's separate prize event.

How this works

Each simulated spin either misses or returns a win drawn from a log-normal distribution, with the hit rate and spread set by the slot's volatility tier (Medium-High). The model is calibrated so the average return equals this slot's published RTP (96.46%), with wins capped at its top multiplier (5,100×).

This is a simplified, parametric model of the game's math — not its real paytable. It exists to make the house edge visible over many sessions, so the numbers above are averages across thousands of runs, never a forecast of one.

This is math, not a prediction. Real sessions vary wildly, and no strategy changes a game's built-in house edge. Play for fun, set limits, and never bet more than you can afford to lose.
