Slot Summary

The gap between a familiar fixed-line slot and a player-selected risk profile is where Secret of the Stones MAX sits. NetEnt lets the same 25-line game run in Classic mode or the higher-volatility MAX mode, then concentrates the real variation inside a stone-pick setup before free spins. Those choices can add spins, raise the multiplier, turn reels wild, or promote animal symbols to wilds, giving the sequel a configurable identity rather than a simple visual refresh.

How It Plays

Base spins use a 5x3 layout with 25 fixed lines. The regular Wild can appear on any reel and substitutes for standard paying symbols.

The player may switch between Classic and MAX play. Classic favors more frequent results, while MAX shifts the same basic format toward less frequent, larger outcomes.

Theme & Atmosphere

Ancient stones, forest imagery, and animal symbols give the Magic and Mythology themes a grounded natural setting rather than a palace or treasure-vault treatment.

The druidic stone-picking scene connects the Forest and Nature themes directly to the bonus logic, since every selected stone conceals a lasting modifier.

Features & Win Potential

The standard Wild substitutes throughout the base game and free spins, while selected reels can become fully wild for the remainder of the feature.

Multiplier picks combine with extra spins and additional wild symbols, allowing several modifiers to operate together instead of producing a single isolated reward.

Bonus & Free Spins

Three or more Scatter symbols award free spins, but the number of triggering Scatters also determines how many stones the player may select beforehand.

Every revealed modifier remains active through the free-spins session, so an early choice can alter spin quantity, multiplier strength, wild reels, or symbol behavior.

How this works

Each simulated spin either misses or returns a win drawn from a log-normal distribution, with the hit rate and spread set by the slot's volatility tier (High). The model is calibrated so the average return equals this slot's published RTP (96.72%), with wins capped at its top multiplier (25,000×).

This is a simplified, parametric model of the game's math — not its real paytable. It exists to make the house edge visible over many sessions, so the numbers above are averages across thousands of runs, never a forecast of one.

This is math, not a prediction. Real sessions vary wildly, and no strategy changes a game's built-in house edge. Play for fun, set limits, and never bet more than you can afford to lose.
