Slot Summary

A five-reel, 243-way format gives JDB's Open Sesame a broad connection model, but the jar choice inside Free Spins supplies the actual decision. The 2018 release pairs a treasure-cave setting with high volatility, a 96.25% RTP, substituting Wilds, and a bonus trade-off between more spins and a stronger multiplier.

How It Plays

Wins are evaluated through 243 ways across the 5x3 layout, so matching symbols connect on adjacent reels without requiring fixed payline positions.

Wild symbols substitute for regular symbols, while the Open Sesame trigger occupies the first 3 reels and provides the route into the main feature.

Theme & Atmosphere

Open Sesame draws on a Middle Eastern treasure tale, placing its Warrior and Magic themes inside a cave-opening search for concealed riches.

Luxury and Treasure shape the reward language, while the Action & Adventure angle comes from discovering the cave rather than fighting through a complicated story.

Features & Win Potential

The Wild Symbol performs the standard substitution role across the 243 Ways format, helping regular symbols complete connections from the leftmost reel.

High volatility makes the Free Spins Multiplier especially important because the selected jar changes how the bonus distributes its available spins and multiplier value.

Bonus & Free Spins

Landing Open Sesame symbols on the first 3 reels opens the Free Spins choice, where selecting a jar reveals a particular combination of spins and multiplier strength.

All qualifying wins during Free Spins receive the selected multiplier, making the initial jar decision the defining action before the awarded spins begin.

How this works

Each simulated spin either misses or returns a win drawn from a log-normal distribution, with the hit rate and spread set by the slot's volatility tier (High). The model is calibrated so the average return equals this slot's published RTP (96.25%), with wins capped at its top multiplier (1,000×).

This is a simplified, parametric model of the game's math — not its real paytable. It exists to make the house edge visible over many sessions, so the numbers above are averages across thousands of runs, never a forecast of one.

This is math, not a prediction. Real sessions vary wildly, and no strategy changes a game's built-in house edge. Play for fun, set limits, and never bet more than you can afford to lose.
