The Wild Life came first in 2017, six years before IGT returned to the name with The Wild Life Extreme. The original's defining idea is narrower and easy to follow: Wild Symbols expand across their reels in the base game, then become Sticky Wilds for the remaining Free Spins. Pay Both Ways keeps both reel edges relevant.

How It Plays

Ten fixed paylines evaluate matching symbols from both the left and right edges. This makes the outside reels equally important when consecutive combinations form.

Wild Symbols appear on the middle reels and can expand to cover an entire reel when they contribute to a winning line during the base game.

Theme & Atmosphere

Africa, Safari, and Wildlife provide the setting, with animal subjects carrying the reel hierarchy rather than acting as a separate collection mechanic.

Nature imagery keeps the focus on open-land wildlife, while the Tiger label identifies one of the game's central animal motifs within the wider safari treatment.
