Slot Summary

Winning clusters can upgrade their own symbols, clear the grid and leave stronger multiplier positions behind. Sugar Merge Up applies that chain reaction to BGaming's candy-themed 6x6 format, pairing a 97% RTP with high volatility and a 10,000x ceiling. Its place in the Merge Up series comes from the same combination of cluster wins and symbol improvement, while selectable free-spins modes give the bonus round a distinct decision point.

How It Plays

The base loop starts with cluster evaluation rather than fixed paylines. A qualifying group pays, its symbols merge upward, and an avalanche refills the vacated positions before the sequence ends.

Bubblegum can emerge after the symbol ladder reaches its upper level. It clears surrounding positions, improves nearby multipliers and becomes a Scatter, connecting the upgrade process directly to bonus access.

Theme & Atmosphere

Candy supplies more than surface decoration here. Distinct sweet shapes make the eight-step upgrade ladder readable as symbols combine into progressively more valuable forms.

The Casual and Fun treatment keeps the busy 6x6 screen legible, which matters when avalanches, upgraded symbols and marked multiplier positions must be followed together.

Candy Fun Casual

Features & Win Potential

Symbol Upgrade changes the value of a winning cluster before the next Avalanche arrives. That creates a continuing relationship between cluster size and the symbols available afterward.

Multipliers attach to individual cells affected by Bubblegum. Future wins crossing those positions receive the stored value, so the location of each cluster matters alongside its size.

Free Spins Multiplier Scatter Symbol Cascading Cluster Pays Symbol Upgrade Avalanche Bonus Bet Free Spins Multiplier Free Spins Mode Choosing

Bonus & Free Spins

Free Spins preserve affected cell multipliers across the round rather than clearing them after each sequence. Additional Scatter symbols can extend the available spins.

Free Spins Mode Choosing lets the player select a bonus treatment, shifting emphasis between stronger starting conditions and more room for multiplier growth during avalanches.

How this works

Each simulated spin either misses or returns a win drawn from a log-normal distribution, with the hit rate and spread set by the slot's volatility tier (High). The model is calibrated so the average return equals this slot's published RTP (97.00%), with wins capped at its top multiplier (10,000×).

This is a simplified, parametric model of the game's math — not its real paytable. It exists to make the house edge visible over many sessions, so the numbers above are averages across thousands of runs, never a forecast of one.

This is math, not a prediction. Real sessions vary wildly, and no strategy changes a game's built-in house edge. Play for fun, set limits, and never bet more than you can afford to lose.

01What is the RTP of Sugar Merge Up?

Sugar Merge Up has a 97% RTP and high volatility, with a maximum win listed at 10,000x the stake.
