Black Horse series evolution: from three reels to collector bonuses
Wazdan began the Black Horse series in 2012 with Black Horse, a compact 3x3 Western fruit slot whose five paylines, free spins, multiplier and gamble round fixed the franchise's original formula. Its medium-volatility profile and 3,100x maximum made the founding game simpler in structure but less restrained in potential than its first remake.

Black Horse Deluxe expanded the screen to 5x3 and 20 paylines in 2020. Cascades, sticky wilds and symbol collection moved the action toward linked winning sequences, while the 950x cap lowered the ceiling. The horse, desert and fruit imagery remained recognizable, but the reel behavior changed substantially.
Black Horse Cash Out Edition kept the 5x3, 20-line structure in 2023 and rebuilt the reward loop around variable volatility, paid respins, cash collection, mystery drops and fixed jackpots. A pick-a-prize feature and returning gamble option connect the newer collector format to the risk choices of the original.
The series therefore develops in distinct steps: a compact five-line classic, a cascade-driven remake, then a jackpot and cash-collection version with adjustable risk. The visual identity changes less than the reason for continuing a spin sequence.
