Simply Wild slots keep the fruit machine exposed

Unlike feature-heavy modern fruit franchises, Greentube's Simply Wild series keeps wild-symbol play at the surface and changes the reel format around it. The 2015 Simply Wild (Greentube) established that approach on a 4x3 grid with one payline, medium volatility, respins and a bonus game.

The stripped-back rulebook

  • Wild-led identity: every entry places the wild symbol at the center of its feature set.
  • Minimal visual grammar: fruit, sevens and stars make the paytable readable without a story layer.
  • Small reel frames: the series stays within three-row layouts even as it moves from four to five reels.
  • Format variation: paylines, paired reels, multipliers and optional bets distinguish releases more than the artwork does.

Simply Wild SuperGame returned to the 4x3 frame in 2023 with the wild symbol as its documented feature. The 2024 Simply Wild Twin also retains four reels and three rows but introduces 10 paylines. Together, these entries show the conservative side of the series: Greentube alters how combinations are evaluated without burying the basic fruit-machine screen under multiple bonus systems.

The later branches move farther from the one-line original. Simply Wild 20 adopts a 5x3 layout with 20 paylines and adds a gamble feature. Simply Wild Super Stars uses the same 5x3 footprint with 25 paylines, a low-to-medium volatility profile, multiplier wilds and an optional bonus bet. The former stays closer to classic fruit play; the latter makes multipliers the main source of added pressure.

Four changes to compare

  1. Simply Wild (Greentube): the one-payline foundation with respins and a bonus game.
  2. SuperGame: a restrained return to the original 4x3 format.
  3. Twin: the four-reel version expanded to 10 paylines.
  4. Simply Wild 20: the move to five reels, 20 lines and optional gambling.
  5. Super Stars: the 25-line branch with wild multipliers and bonus betting.

The point of Simply Wild is not constant feature escalation. It is controlled variation inside a narrow classic format, so the practical choice comes down to line count and appetite for multipliers or gamble options rather than theme.
