Raging Rex series: one dinosaur grid, sharply higher ceilings

Unlike dinosaur sequels that merely replace the scenery, Play'n Go's Raging Rex series keeps a 6x4, 4,096-way chassis while rebuilding how its roaming dinosaur wilds create value. Raging Rex established that formula in 2019 with expanding wilds, respins, multipliers and selectable free-spin modes, capped at 5,000x.

Raging Rex 2 made the major risk-and-reward jump in 2022. Sticky walking wilds and stacked symbols create repeated chances from the same reel positions, while the maximum rose to 30,000x. The grid did not need to grow because the persistence of those wilds changed what a successful bonus could build.

Raging Rex 3 retained the 30,000x ceiling in 2023 but added more routes toward it. Wild multipliers, a free-spins multiplier, extra spins, bonus symbols, hold-and-win play and a level-up system sit around the familiar respin and walking-wild core.

The practical choice among Raging Rex slots is about feature density. The original presents the cleanest expanding-wild model, the second concentrates risk in persistent walking wilds, and the third combines that established engine with progression, multipliers and a separate hold-and-win layer.
