Merlin’s Mania expanded the screen to 6x5 in November 2024 and raised the maximum to 12,000x, but its more important change was control. Sticky wilds replaced the original's cascade-led emphasis, extra free spins extended the bonus, and a bonus bet joined the existing direct-purchase option. The volatility also moved from high to medium without removing the pay-anywhere engine.
The pair shows Bullshark Games revising the same magical framework through bonus behavior rather than a simple reskin. Alchemy is the denser transformation game, while Mania enlarges the grid and concentrates more of its identity in persistent wilds and free-spin extension.
