Mahjong Wins 3 - Black Scatter retained the 5x4, 2,000-ways and 100,000x profile later in 2024, concentrating the sequel identity around its scatter treatment rather than another grid expansion. Mahjong Wins - Gong Xi Fa Cai moved back to 1,024 ways in 2025 and reduced the maximum to 25,000x, using Lunar New Year festival imagery to frame a narrower reward profile. Mahjong Wins Super Scatter then expanded to 5x5, restored 2,000 ways and returned the ceiling to 100,000x.

Mahjong Wins evolved by enlarging the space in which cascades can continue, not by abandoning its first mechanic. The original is the compact reference point, the second entry is the major ceiling expansion, Black Scatter refines the 5x4 branch, Gong Xi Fa Cai scales it back for a festival edition, and Super Scatter makes grid size central again.
