Fire Toad began in 2021 when Play'n Go fixed the series around a 5x4 grid, 1,024 ways and high volatility. Fire Toad used symbol collection, transformations, swaps and a 3x3 mega symbol to drive a level-up structure, with free spins supporting a 5,000x maximum. Its 94.2% RTP made the original the leaner-return version of the same aggressive format.

Fire Toad 2 preserved the grid, ways count and high-volatility profile in 2025 but rebuilt the feature pressure around respins, sticky symbols and a free-spins multiplier. Additional free spins allow the bonus to run longer, while the maximum rises slightly to 5,300x and RTP moves to 96.2%. The sequel therefore expands persistence rather than scale: symbols stay relevant for longer, but the screen and overall payout ceiling remain close to the foundation game.
