Cleopatra series: IGT moves an Egyptian classic beyond 20 paylines
Unlike the many unrelated slots that borrow Cleopatra's name, IGT's Cleopatra series develops one recognizable free-spins formula across reel, hold-and-win and number-draw formats. Cleopatra established the line in 2012 with a 5x3 grid, 20 paylines, wild and scatter symbols, respins and multiplier-bearing free spins; the later games alter that reward structure rather than merely changing the Egyptian artwork.

Cleopatra Plus doubled the line count to 40 in 2016 and added wild multipliers, stacked symbols, level progression and a feature map. Cleopatra Gold returned to 20 lines with nudges, symbol swaps and spreading wilds. Cleopatra 2 kept the 5x3, 20-line base but added extra free spins and a pick bonus, then pushed the listed maximum to 50,000x. Those changes turn the familiar scatter trigger into three distinct risk profiles: progression, reel modification and a much larger ceiling.
