How the Aztec Magic series changed its win system
Aztec Magic established the 15-payline structure in 2015 with medium volatility, free spins, wilds, scatters and a gamble feature. Aztec Magic Deluxe preserved that 5x3 framework in 2018, including the 96.96% RTP and 5,000x maximum win, but opened the stake range from 0.02 to 45.
Aztec Magic Megaways made the decisive mechanical break in 2021. Six reels, up to 117,649 ways, high volatility, sticky wilds and wild multipliers raised the ceiling to 12,960x. Bonus Buy and Bonus Bet options also moved access to the free-spins system closer to the player's control.
Aztec Magic Bonanza followed in 2022 with a 6x5, 40-way format built around cascades, pay-anywhere wins and random multipliers. Its 10,200x ceiling sits below Megaways, so the later release is a change in hit sequence rather than a straight prize escalation: the original pair pays through fixed lines, Megaways through reel expansion, and Bonanza through repeated symbol removal.
